Tamable Level 20 Pets? - Guild Wars Forums

Hey guys! My guild is doing a petmaster run of all the Canthan quests, but I don't have a pet myself and am kind of too lazy to level one up from scratch. :P

Are there any tamable high leveled pets already out there in the wild for me the charm? If so, could you give me examples of what they are and where they might be?

Black Widow and Black Moa are both Level 20.

anyways... hmm I think the black moa and black widow spider is the only ones you can charm that is already lvl 20, the spider is in UW where you need some quest done... think runs can be bought if none others are around to help you. The moa is somewhere in one of the kurzick areas, can't remember which one.
Pretty sure thats the only 2 there is. Otherwise you can charm any animal take it to menagerie and death lvl it fast enough

Start a PvP Ranger.
Equip Charm Animal.
Go to the Zaishen Menagerie, you will automatically have a lvl20 wolf.
Add it to the Zaishen Menagerie.
Switch to your PvE character and get the wolf from the Zaishe Menagerie.

Ugh I tried it and the raven got to level 17 but my hero Gwen died and couldn't rez me anymore. D:

How do I make it so she doesn't die?

if u have a 55monk/necro u can do it easy in the menagerie. just post your heros just outside the range of the pet to attack. it helps putting yourself in the way of the animal so it will attack u first anyways. (start to charm it to aggro it then just let it attack if u needed that info too)

Bring another monk hero.

Works well, but make sure you have only 1 hostile mob and kill all the others that turn red.

Outside of Boreal Station you can also lure a Polar Bear to the res shrine and have it kill you over and over till its level 20. Happens pretty fast if you have no armor/minimum armor with sup runes so your health is very low.

I'd say Djudz method is the fastest/easiest. After which the Black Moa, then probably deathleveling the polar and then Widow, although Widow is very easy aswell. Some pets are annoying to deathlevel, so if the looks don't matter I'd go with the wolf.

Outisde of The Jade Flats there is an elder white tiger, but it's level 15 - not 20 like you're asking.

Thought I'd just point that out to you in case you were interested. You have to send your heroes down to kill Salke Fur Friend first, and then just wander down to charm the tiger. Getting too near will cause him to charm it for himself.

Not sure if this is still viable, but it's something I used to do years ago.

Wiki (unnoficial) still mentions the trick on the Salke page. So it probably works.
